In this case they have joined forces with the former South Fistral Surf School to become Quicksilver and Roxy Surf School. Part of a national network of accredited surf schools, we are able to offer expert surf lessons to surfers of all ages and abilities making the most of the facilities at the UK's surfing capital Fistral Beach, Newquay
Our surf lessons cater for young beginners up to those seeking advanced skills coaching from a Newquay-based pro surfer. The facilities on offer at our surf school are excellent, with hot showers, secure changing areas and an indoor coaching room for dry land briefing and basic tuition.
All of your surf hire requirements during your Newquay experience can be taken care of by the surf school. Board and wetsuit hire is included in the price. For those really "bitten by the bug" we sell a range of surf equipment through our surf shop but many prefer the convenience of surf hire during their stay in Newquay as it removes such issues as drying the suits out after use!

Safety issues can be addressed firstly by taking surf lessons that cover the basics and secondly by using the lifeguard supervised areas in Newquay and other popular surfing beaches around Cornwall.
Newquay is fairly well positioned for visitors to sample surfing elsewhere in Cornwall. Perranporth is within easy distance and so, too are some south coast beaches (for when north coast conditions are less favourable).
